Igniting An East-West Globalizing Dialogue

Negativity

Negativity and its repercussions are marvelous opportunities for self-other resolution.  Let me explain by way of discussing the self-other spaces:

In the space of self, there are two mentalities: ‘the self‘ and ‘not the self‘.

In the space of other, there are also two mentalities: ‘the other in relation to the self‘ and ‘the other itself‘.

Negativity in the space of self is anger and destruction.  It is a veritable battleground for annihilation of potentiality itself.  To say the least, it is a volatile and lethal device and excellent repellant of anything good, decent, peaceful, whole, caring, nurturing, and creative.

Negativity in the space of other is neutralized.  It becomes a breeding ground for its own destruction.  In the space of other, it transforms into meaningfully positive creativity.

How so?

By the individual’s natural proclivity to choose so:

In the space of other, the individual is mindful of the ramifications his actions, behaviors, and decisions have on others around him.

In the space of other, the individual considers both sides of the equation and makes the choice accordingly.

In the space of other, the individual resolves to create effective and meaningfully positive solutions.

In the space of other, the individual actively seeks to make a meaningfully positive contribution worthy of his own integrity.

Above all, in the space of other, the individual attains ultimate transcendence.

All of this is possible in the space of other because it is only in this space that the individual – as other qua ultimate freedom – achieve absolute liberation of and from his self and all related fetters of that self.

Think about it:

To resolve to create in the space of other…

IPT would ennoble everyone to give it a try…
